BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL SPACE FORCE STATION, FLORIDA — Blue Origin is poised to launch the highly anticipated debut mission of its New Glenn rocket early Monday, Jan. 13. The liftoff is scheduled during a three-hour window starting at 1 a.m. EST from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, pending favorable weather conditions.

The launch was initially set for Jan. 10, then rescheduled to Jan. 12, before being postponed again due to rough offshore weather, which could have impacted the recovery of the rocket’s booster in the Atlantic.

Similar weather conditions remain a concern for Monday’s attempt, with Space Force officials estimating a 50% chance of favorable liftoff conditions.

Initially slated for Jan. 10, the mission was postponed due to rough offshore weather that could impact the rocket’s first-stage landing on the recovery ship, “Jacklyn,” stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.
