The History: Important for you to know.

Please pay attention to the unfolding IG Report. The normies are now hearing the first mentions of it, and like successful ad campaigns, target subjects have to hear the product’s name at least seven times before getting their attention.

There will be more about the IG Report in coming days as the IG drama unfolds. Many have forgotten the role Sen. Jeff Sessions played in appointing the right people to investigate, build cases, bring them before Grand Juries countrywide and amass a reported 300,000 sealed indictments.

In my opinion, this is the beginning of the third act in a multi-series drama about the fight for the fate of the USA. When this movie reaches “the reveal,” the entire world will shudder.

But first…

… a little fun at the White House today as President Trump showed Big League support for Elon Musk and his Tesla EV Company. Liberals who bought Tesla and thought quite highly of themselves as “Climate” conscious are probably rueing the day they made the purchase. Whoda thunk it…

(To “rue the day” means to seriously regret a specific event or action that has taken place. It expresses a strong sense of remorse for something that happened in the past.)

GROK Conversation:

Inspector General Michael Horowitz

Michael E. Horowitz is the Inspector General of the United States Department of Justice (DOJ), a position he has held since being sworn in on April 16, 2012, following his confirmation by the U.S. Senate. Born on September 19, 1962, in New York City to Jewish parents, Anne J. and Fred Horowitz, he grew up in a family where his father ran a women’s clothing manufacturing business and his mother owned an antique store. Horowitz graduated summa cum laude from Brandeis University with a Bachelor of Arts in economics and a minor in Legal Studies, and later earned a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School.

Before becoming Inspector General, Horowitz built a robust legal career. He clerked for Judge John G. Davies in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, worked as an associate at Debevoise & Plimpton, and served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York from 1991 to 1999, where he tackled public corruption cases, earning the Attorney General’s Award for Distinguished Service in 1995. From 1999 to 2002, he worked at DOJ headquarters, first as a Deputy Assistant Attorney General and then as Chief of Staff in the Criminal Division. He later joined Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP as a partner from 2002 to 2012, focusing on white-collar defense and internal investigations.

As Inspector General, Horowitz oversees a team of over 500 special agents, auditors, inspectors, attorneys, and support staff tasked with detecting and deterring waste, fraud, abuse, and misconduct within DOJ programs and personnel. His tenure has included high-profile investigations, such as the 2018 report on the FBI’s handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation, the 2019 review of the FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane investigation into Trump campaign ties to Russia, and the 2021 assessment of the DOJ’s “zero tolerance” policy on family separations. Since April 2020, he has also led the Pandemic Response Accountability Committee, overseeing trillions in federal pandemic-related spending. From 2015 to 2020, he chaired the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency, representing all 75 federal Inspectors General.

Horowitz is married to Alexandra Leigh Kauffman, a former CNN field producer, and they wed in 2000 in Leesburg, Virginia. His work has often placed him at the center of politically charged issues, yet he is recognized for his commitment to factual, independent oversight, even as his findings have sparked debate across the political spectrum. As of today, March 11, 2025, he continues to serve in this critical role.

Turley: Sessions’ Appointing Utah Federal Prosecutor Much Better for Trump than 2nd Special Counsel

WASHINGTON, DC – Professor Jonathan Turley, a top national legal expert on government investigations, commented on Thursday about Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ decision to bring in U.S. Attorney John Huber. Turley called it “brilliant”to combine all the powers of the U.S. Department of Justice’s inspector general with a prosecutor who can bring charges, seek indictments, and get results for President Trump far more quickly than a second special counsel.

Sessions sent a letter to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-VA), House Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-SC), and Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA), informing them that Huber is conducting a full-fledged criminal investigation into all the matters Republicans are calling for a special counsel to investigate. Huber has been investigating these possible crimes for five months, since November 13, 2017.

During an interview on Lou Dobbs’s Fox Business Network show, Turley explained to guest host Stuart Varney that the media are wrongly reporting that Sessions will not appoint a second special counsel. “He did not foreclose the possibility of a special counsel,” he insisted.

Instead, Turley explained that Sessions has ordered Huber to “team up with the inspector general (IG) within the Justice Department to investigate these matters.”

Sessions informed Congress in his letter that all the matters recommended for investigation by Goodlatte, Gowdy, and Grassley are “fully within the scope of [Huber’s] existing mandate.” He also informed the chairmen that Inspector General Michael Horowitz, who is working with Huber, has a staff of 470 investigators, giving Huber access to enormous investigative firepower that far exceeds the staff of any special counsel.

Turley is a law professor at George Washington University, who attained national fame during the 1998 impeachment of President Bill Clinton as a top legal authority on special counsels and congressional investigations of government wrongdoing, including criminal wrongdoing. His reputation has only grown during the intervening 20 years, as he has weighed in on scandals and investigations of public officials from both political parties.
