Trump just exposed the biggest leech behind America’s soaring drug prices—The European Union. “They’re BRUTAL in negotiations… and if you need more, you get it from America.”
According to Trump, EU bureaucrats strong-armed drug companies into giving them rock-bottom prices—then forced Americans to make up the difference.
“The European Union would be the top [offender]… they are brutal, according to the drug companies,” he said.
Here’s how the scam worked: The EU would set a price. Take it or leave it.
“They say this is what we’re going to pay, we’re not going to pay anymore.”
“And if you need more, you get it from America.”
The result?
“So they get a low price and we get a high price,” Trump explained.
“And I ended it.”
He said this setup bled Americans dry for years, until he stepped in.
“Very complex chain of events takes place—and I ended it.”
Even Big Pharma didn’t push back. They’re (sic) reaction was rather surprising: “They were great—They said: ‘It’s time.’”
