Greeting me this morning, these beautiful flowers bloomed overnight, growing among others amid the Morning Glory’s vines and tendrils wrapped around my mailbox. So beautiful! Started from seed in June.
One needs restoration in these times. This is one of mine.

Several weeks ago I painted this for a neighbor who absolutely adores them. Her little apartment features peacocks everywhere!

Cape Canaveral has a large population of peacocks strutting about. Beautiful birds, but loud and messy. However, a sign in one of the neighborhoods that is home to flocks of these birds has posted a traffic sign: “Stop for peacocks.”
The painting on canvas is a paint by number kit, but the patterns were so tiny, I free handed it instead.
Another escape from the realities we deal with. What’s yours?

So beautiful Andrea…both the flowers and the painting, good job! You’ve inspired me to put some seeds in to get a vine going once these extremely hot temps go down a bit….think we are a bit hotter here in No Central Fla (Ocala area) than you are there right on the Atlantic, with those great sea breezes. Will give it a try…. :)…….you are spot on about getting away from all the “realities” we’re dealing with not daily anymore, but hourly now it seems, pretty intense!
That’s beautiful.
