I don’t agree with the statement in that drop, haven’t since I first read it years ago.
It’s too broad, lacks critical thinking, deductive reasoning and involvement in any situation requires case-by-case analysis, especially for a ‘head-of-state’.
That is unacceptable.
Every head-of-state should be held to the highest ethical and moral standards. Period. In theory that is why they are in the position they are in.
Maybe I’m stupid and/or naive but I haven’t been able to think of anyone who would be so invaluable that we couldn’t recover from being informed of their unacceptable activity.
To use a parallel proving a point, Americans have been blatantly lied to since the first of the 20th century and constantly since then.
I’ll start with the intentional sinking of the Titanic so that the pseudo ‘government bank’ extremely misleadingly named the Federal Reserve — in actuality a common bank — could be formed by sociopath wealthy elites who, due to the wealth they amassed due to their evil actions became some of the most successful businessmen/bankers of the 20th century, worshiped like gods.
Only a small fraction of our nation has a clue. We, in general, have managed. It’s not worth wondering about how much better life would have been if J.P. Morgan and friends had not been behind the sinking of the Titanic.
I have no question there will be masses of citizens afflicted with delusional psychosis, rejecting the actual truth of those who purposely and intentionally committed lies — many from ‘heads of state’.
What is meant by “a cost we can’t recover from?”
Explain that to me like I’m an eight-year-old.
Until I’m convinced there is some head of state on this planet who deserves a pass on unethical/immoral actions my view on this issue will not change.
God will punish our enemies. We will arrange the meetings.
Those meetings have begun.

Agree…a slippery slope indeed. Like the Naval Academy graduate, Mikie Sherrill, who was running for governor of New Jersey. She refused to turn in classmates who were involved in cheating. I don’t know about the naval academy – but at West Point that is an honor code violation that could result in expulsion from the Academy. She was not allowed at the graduation ceremony but was given a commission over midshipmen. That, in my view, is setting a really bad example. Adding insult to injury Mikie Sherrill nominated her 2 daughters to attend the naval academy. They both secured appointments. There’s a lot more to this story that I would encourage you to read. Bottom line, stinky fish do not smell better with time….only worse.
