Aaah, the days… languid and beautiful.

First to turn are the sumac, from summer green to neon lime, to spectacular brilliant red and fiery orange. Behind these brilliant beauties is a power line easement, undisturbed and where sumac grows wild.

Sunshine river sparkles captured “Hope’s” attention.

Growing and flowing by the Piscataquis River.

Beautiful pictures! I do MISS such contrasts.
Most of my life was ‘up North’. Upstate NY. Then 3 yrs in Alaska with the AF. Then after a few months in DC with the AF – back to NY State but lower Hudson Valley in the AF cousin: Air National Guard. The whole north east is rapturous with beauty: the colors; the rolling hills, and mountains and valleys. The rivers and streams and creeks. And the History packed into the the N.E. But back to the area: the orchards and corn fields and farm pastures.
We do NOT miss the snow and blizzards and black ice and power outages; the plows and drifts. So alas here in NE Florida.
