Does the Bible tell us we have to support Israel?

From MJ Truth on X:

The Bible says nothing about Christians supporting the Government of Israel or the Balfour Declaration.

So please stop morally blackmailing Christians with your distorted view of the Bible. Jews are not “God’s Chosen People”. That is reserved for every child of God who believes in him.

We are not “deranged”… we are not “stupid”. We are not “antisemites”. We are tired of the Government of Israel being so entrenched in US politics.

We are tired of “Influencers” like you trying to interchange the word of God with a foreign nation who does absolutely nothing for us.

UPDATE: Charlie Kirk — And there it is…

TPUSA Andrew Kolvet CONFIRMS the Group Chat Message Candace Owens shared with Charlie Kirk saying he was ‘Done with the Israeli Cause’ 2 Days before he was Assassinated, is 100% AUTHENTIC

Even though he didn’t disclose it, he says he’s excited the truth is now out there now.

Odd… Andrew says what Candace shared is a screenshot he took, and says he shared with a few people in the Federal Government… but from there, don’t know who shared it.

So, think about that — someone within the Federal Government wanted Candace Owens to have it.

Interesting…

@RealCandaceO is not perfect, but everyone who said these messages were fake, owes her an apology.

  1. Suggest MJ read Deuteronomy 7:6. And remember the promise: I will bless them that bless you and……

Supporting the Jews and supporting their leaders can and often are two different things. As for his statement that we are tired of their government inserting itself into ours……TOTALLY agree. As I’m sure there are many nations, some with toppled rulers or money funding things they are opposed to, who are tired of the US government inserting itself into their government and their elections. We don’t hold the moral high ground in that argument.

As for Candace….she lost my support a long time ago…..but I will pray for her safety as I think she has been quick to disclose something that may not have been ready for daylight. She may be right but her desire to be “out front” may have hindered an investigation.

Bottom line ….. Charlie was famous for his approach to discourse. If we are honoring him, we should be working to emulate him. There are ways to push for truth that he would support.

    1. Let’s talk about that — any and all readers are welcome to participate. Here’s GROK’s reply when I asked “who are God’s Chosen People? The Jews or the followers of Christ, the Christians?”

      GROK:

The concept of the “Chosen Children of God” originates in religious texts and varies by tradition. In Judaism, the Jewish people are often referred to as the “Chosen People” based on passages in the Hebrew Bible (e.g., Deuteronomy 7:6), where God selects Israel to follow the covenant and uphold the Torah.

In Christianity, interpretations differ: some see Christians as the new “Chosen People” through faith in Jesus Christ (e.g., 1 Peter 2:9), while others view the Jewish people as retaining their chosen status, with Christians grafted into the covenant (Romans 11:17-24). The answer depends on the theological lens—Judaism emphasizes the Jewish covenant, while Christianity varies by denomination, with some supersessionist views favoring Christians and others affirming both groups’ roles.

      1. Good conversation.
In my opinion and learnings: God chose the Jews, the people to / with whom His Son was born. Man (all men) has free will and therefore we get to choose God.

Would love to have a Christian minister /pastor join the conversation (not one of the milk-toast shut down during COVID ones….. one who was bold and strong in faith) …… just not a great fan of Grok yet.

Looking forward to some good discourse….”prove me wrong” type.

        1. I’m not a pastor, but I am a firm believer in Salvation through Jesus Christ. I’m of the “both” camp. Jesus clearly came to provide Forgiveness to All who believe in Him. However, I have not read anywhere in the Bible that the children of Abraham were no longer God’s Chosen people. So based on my current understanding, those who are truly of the line of Israel and those who have accepted Christ are both “Chosen” by God.
