I shared a twitter clip on this last night with some acquaintances of mine via email last night and wow did I end up with carpel tunnel responding this morning. I have to say most were ecstatic.
(Edward)…what’s then the endpoint of a (civil) war… (Zanny)calm things down instead of civil war… (All the rest Edward) instead of smash the other side… work to stop the crisis….defusing the crisis; people feel shut out of power… precisely when you’ll end up with civil war…
The/these ‘classic Liberals’ are so darn smarmy smart, thinking their intellectualism is far superior, that they spew the above examples – as though it’s only now in the present – that the US is in Crisis. These phrases reveal that their concern is ONLY for the present and only for the ‘liberals’ of the US. They seemingly refuse to recognize or acknowledge that their very stated concerns could have/should have been used by us, back in 2008 beginning with Obama. That all during the Obama 2 terms and all during the bizarre Biden years, it was We The People, we the vast Silent Majority who remained peaceful, who exercised Self Control and maturity all during those combined years of feeling shut out, feeling smashed, feeling that the crisis THEY ignited was getting worse and more destructive, yet we refused to enter a ‘civil war’.
