A friend wrote me the following earlier today which gives further explanation re what MTG said about healthcare etc. in the clip above.
“The PR by the GOP is horrible. The Senate appropriations bills are basically done and ready for floor consideration. Leader Thune tried to get the DOD appropriations bill up on the floor last week, but the Dems objected to the motion to proceed.
They are working on an agreement with a pkg of 3 appropriations bills at a time in the Senate (mini [omni] Buses) and at some point the Ds get to offer their OCare subsidy language. It will fail and they will blame GOPers.
The House is avoiding session because as soon as they get back in session, a discharge petition will ripen (218 signatures) that will demand all the info on Epstein be released. [a trap set by Trump]
The Speaker is carrying the water for Trump by trying to avoid the vote. [!!!]
The House will have to come in this week to pass the CR and the Senate will ultimately pass it with a date change. (Thus ending the gov shutdown).”
