Kristi Noem will move to a newly created Special Envoy position in the Trump administration, while Markwayne Mullin will be nominated to head DHS.
Not up to the job? Perhaps too busy getting facial work done, lips plumped up, and looking like long-haired Mar a Lago glamour girl with ball cap, curls, and hoop-de-do earrings. Maybe Susie “Chief of Staff” Wiles whispered in the President’s ear. Or maybe he’s sharp enough to see Kristi’s hijinks getting out of hand.

I dunno… what do you think? Kinda reminds me of the Kimberly Guilfoyle story… Don Jr. dumps her, so to mollify her, they gave her an ambassadorship and sent her packing to Greece. Seems to be the gentlemanly way to remove a sore thumb.

But Noem continued to face public scrutiny over her leadership of DHS, including allegations that she had an inappropriate romantic relationship with her close aide Corey Lewandowski.
Noem also faced questions about a $220mn advertising campaign for DHS, which included a nine-figure contract for Strategy Group, a company whose chief executive was married to Tricia McLaughlin, Noem’s former chief spokesperson.
But the final straw for Trump apparently came this week, after Noem participated in a combative Senate hearing on Tuesday, where several Republican lawmakers criticised her.
In one heated exchange, North Carolina Republican Senator Thom Tillis slammed Noem’s leadership and referred to her notorious decision to shoot and kill her family’s dog, something she recounted in a memoir published in 2024.
“Those are bad decisions made in the heat of the moment,” Tillis said. “Not unlike what happened up in Minneapolis.”
Trump on Thursday called Mullin “highly respected” and said he would take over as homeland security secretary on March 31.
I’m a born ‘n raised Okie and even though he has displayed characteristics that many men likely admire and envy I have a feeling it might not last long.
The ethical conflict of interest – insider trading – will doubtfully be directly exposed by any of the obviously guilty Uniparty members but stock trading by Congressmen is open source so all it will take is for Mullin to piss off one of his constituents or fellow politicians to skyline it to the likes of Politico or NBC.

Senator Markwayne Mullin serves on several key committees in the U.S. Senate, including the Armed Services Committee, the Environment and Public Works Committee, the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee, and the Indian Affairs Committee.
