Erin Brockovich has launched a website and has begun tracking all data centers in America and logging resident complaints
In just 1 week it’s already logged 1,690 resident complaints
For this who don’t remember
Erin Brockovich was the paralegal responsible for winning out a case against PG&E, Hinckley in California, because their wastewater runoff was seeping into rural areas and creating a lot of health issues for, for the surrounding neighborhoods
That case brought in a $333 million settlement that went to the families affected by the situation because a lot of them either had staggering medical bills due to their tap water was no longer safe
So why is this important, well residents all over America are reporting their tap water and river water is being heavily polluted by data centers
Her map of data centers is new, she just launched it
The website features an interactive US map showing operational, under-construction, and proposed AI data centers, overlaid with community-reported complaints
Residents can submit reports with details, photos, and locations. Within days of launch, it received a surge of submissions over 1,600 in the first week, and reports of 1,800+ from 47 states shortly after
Common Resident Complaints Being Logged
- Water usage
- Raising utility bills for residents
- Noise pollution: Constant 24/7 humming from fans, generators, and cooling systems disrupting sleep, daily life, and wildlife.
- E-waste from frequent hardware upgrades, pollution including PFAS concerns
Famed American paralegal, consumer advocate, and environmental activist Erin Brockovich, who was instrumental in building a case against Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E) – has put together a resource and tool to share risks associated with data centers and our communities. This tool also allows for community members to post issues regarding data centers, as well as proposed plans for where data centers are cropping up in communities around the country.

COMMENT:
It’s a damned if you do and damned if you don’t situation. If America falls behind in the AI race, that could turn out very badly for the country. Whoever leads AI will have a massive advantage in economics, defense, surveillance, cyber warfare, and global influence. But at the same time, people living near these data centers have every right to demand transparency. Power use, water use, noise, environmental impact, and local infrastructure strain are not small issues. So yes, we need to compete hard, but not blindly. Build the infrastructure, but be honest about the costs and protect the communities affected by it. I’m sure Elon and others have already laid out the possible consequences if America is not the leader in this race. But leadership should not mean ignoring the people who have to live next door to it. One thing people may not notice: under another president, this kind of national AI infrastructure push would probably be sold as another massive government-funded program. Trump, being Trump, is pushing private entities to fund it instead. That matters. America needs to win the AI race, but we also need to make sure regular Americans are not left paying the hidden costs.

We are making this a top priority in this year’s Gubernatorial campaign here in Florida…with already ONE approved in Ft Meade Fl, outside of Winter Haven….and with this already being on Byron Donalds “want” list we will keep this on the top burner this summer when we question candidates at our GOP club meetings…..people are looking for info, facts, input and now this….can’t believe I would be in favor of keeping term limits if we had that option, but ONLY here in FLA with our amazing, awesome Gov DeSantis….can’t bear the thought of him leaving with the next election….such a dangerous time to replace him with….???

How do we even KNOW there’s actually such a ‘thing’ as a DATA center ‘race’? Issue after issue, time after time, everything becomes crucial; a race against live or death. There’s ALWAYS that ‘enemy’ who’ll do it better, faster, – if we don’t act first.
If it’s not China, it’s Russia. If it’s not Cuba, it’s Iran.
I remember we were led to believe that the global deep state was seated in the EU and London.
I’m calling it ‘same shit, different day’.
And today we’re facing the invasion of Aliens and Data centers to add to the landscape being ruined by turbines and solar panels.
We’re told lots of things that ‘just ain’t so’ when later on, truth comes out.
There’s always that enemy.. While Pogo told us decades ago – the enemy is us.
And by the way – we’re still waiting for ‘we the people’ be given back the gov’t as stated in Pres Trump’s inaugural address in Jan 2017.
