NOBODY REMEMBERS OBAMA AT COLUMBIA

This has hit my mailbox twice this morning….

NOBODY REMEMBERS OBAMA AT COLUMBIA
Looking for evidence of Obama’s past, Fox News contacted 400 Columbia University students from the period when Obama claims to have been there, but none remembered him.

Wayne Allyn Root was, like Obama, a political science major at Columbia who also graduated in 1983. In 2008, Root says of Obama, “I don’t know a single person at Columbia that knew him, and they all know me.

I don’t have a classmate who ever knew Barack Obama at Columbia . Ever! Nobody recalls him. I’m not exaggerating, I’m not kidding.”
Root adds that he was also, like Obama, “Class of ’83 political science, pre-law” and says, “You don’t get more exact or closer than that. Never met him in my life, don’t know anyone who ever met him.

At the class reunion, our 20th reunion five years ago, who was asked to be the speaker of the class? Me.

No one ever heard of Barack! And five years ago, nobody even knew who he was. The guy who writes the class notes, who’s kind of the, as we say in New York, the macha who knows everybody, has yet to find a person, a human who ever met him. Is that not strange?

It’s very strange.” Obama’s photograph does not appear in the school’s yearbook and Obama consistently declines requests to talk about his years at Columbia, provide school records, or provide the name of any former classmates or friends while at Columbia.

NOTE: Root graduated as Valedictorian from his high school, Thornton-Donovan School , then graduated from Columbia University in 1983 as a Political Science major (in the same class as President Barack Obama WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN IN)

  1. This is intriguing, but…

I graduated from Columbia in ’84 and never heard of or met Barack Obama. Then again, I never met or heard of Wayne Allyn Root either.

Also, I do not own a copy of a Columbia year book, but I do not have any recollection of posing for a senior picture. I do recall a freshman directory with pictures of all incoming freshmen, but not a yearbook with pictures. Did all graduating seniors in ’83 have a picture in the yearbook except for Obama?

  2. Of course, Columbia is a large university, but if a person has BIG aspirations, such as being President of the United States, that type of person most usually makes sure he/she is “noticed”. That type of person most usually builds a resume – honor societies, committees, offices, etc. That type of person is usually not secretive about his/her college credentials. For example, Sarah Palin does not hide the fact that she graduated from a state university. Why then would Obama hide his university records? The question boggles the mind.

  3. You didn’t go on to run for and become President of the US. It does seem odd to me that someone who apparently lurked in the shadows – assuming that he actually attended Columbia – would end up becoming President. That’s a litte difficult to understand.

  4. Columbia College is small, the smallest college in the Ivy League. But, it isn’t Dartmouth. It’s an urban college. Many kids commute or go home on weekends. One reason why Obama was so little known may be that he wasn’t sociable. The workload at Columbia was(I was there at the time)immense. And the quality of scholarship that one had to produce to succeed had to be very high. If on a weeknight you looked towards South Field from College Walk at 4am, you’d see nearly all the dorm room windows lit. One thing that I can tell you with certainty is that Obama was, at best, a nonentity on Morningside Heights.

  5. Obama padded his school credentials as a ‘boost’ his eligibility to get into Harvard. Which by the way ‘HOW DID HE AFFORD IT’, there has never been an accounting how he paid for tuition or living expenses.

  6. Q: What’s the common thread between Columbia, Obama-Soetoro, Deval Patrick, and the Mujahadin in AfPak in the early 80s???

    A: Zbigniew Brzezinski

  7. Bam Bam was part of Arms Race Alternatives. After rejecting YAF and Social Dems, Earl Hall set up ARA with tuition funds and hired Obama. Shows how much he valued free speech then and now, and who put him up to it, and what they were really up to, racketeering for federal funds. Sovern incited the 1968 riots so his cabal could get the booty: UPI June 6, 1992 Sovern took over at Columbia after student protests of 1968 and New York’s fiscal problems in the ’70s resulted in less financial support for the school, a situation made more dire by recent federal government budget cuts. . . But Columbia will be looking for a new president in a period troubled by criticism for destroying records that were being reviewed for improprieties. Universities in general have been under greater scrutiny for how they charge the government for federally sponsored research.
