Going for a new look

Well, as you can see, we’re sportin’ a new look at The Radio Patriot.  But it’s temporary until my friend Marylou (Flamingo91.com) designs a new “me.”

Marylou is a graphic illustrator by profession, an artist by nature. Everything she touches, from her beautiful home to her culinary creations to her choice of colors and design are fabulous!  And lucky me, she’s offered to give The Radio Patriot its own “look”.

We agreed that the blue on blue type of the previous WordPress theme — titled “Andrea” (which is part of the reason why I selected it), was hard on the eyes.  There were elements of the theme that I liked working with: the wide text column, for example, and how the photos seemed to pop off the page.  But I never did figure out how to add images to the sidebar, which was a constant source of frustration for me. And honestly? The blue theme was just an experiment, never really meant to be permanent.

So, I’ve returned to the black on white background.  I’ll keep this look for now until we get something going. When we’re ready to unveil the new look, it will be a “ta-dah!” moment! I’m looking forward to it.
