Not all conservatives are Republicans, and definitely not all Republicans are conservatives.
If the FGOP (formerly Grand Old Party) fails to make significant changes to politics as usual, then (as the cartoon implies) they can expect to become the new third party after the 2012 elections (IF we still have elections by then…).
A major signal of improvement would’ve been if the new Republican members of Congress had elected LTC Allen West to a leadership position. The fact that they did not tells me that somebody plans to stick mud in his political rifle.
And, if that happens, I’ve already made it clear that the good colonel will be plenty welcome in America’s Independent Party.
