AMAZING PROPHECY OF MESSIAH FROM DANIEL
Over 500 years before Jesus walked among us — Gabriel gave the prophet Daniel the time of Christ’s ministry to Israel.
Prophetic years used.
To understand — consider the decree, the rebuilding of Jerusalem and Jesus’ ministry.
THE DECREE TO RESTORE JERUSALEM
Artaxerxes, King of the Persian Empire, made the decree in or about 457 BC. It’s recorded in Ezra 7.
This is the beginning of the prophetic period of seventy weeks (KJV) (70*7=490) recorded in Daniel 9:24-27.
REBUILDING JERUSALEM
Following decree in 457 BC of King of Persia — restoration and rebuilding of Jerusalem occurred over next half century.
This is the first phase (seven weeks (KJV) (7*7=49) of the prophetic period of 70 weeks recorded in Daniel 9:24-27.
JESUS BAPTISM
After rebuilding of Jerusalem, second phase of Daniel 9 prophecy is another threescore and two weeks (KJV) (62*7=434).
So 7 and 62 weeks — or 69 weeks from Artaxerxes decree in 457 BC (69*7=483).
Jesus baptism was in or about 483 years after decree
THE 70th WEEK
Jesus ministry to Israel was about 7 years beginning with His baptism and lasting until His disciples sent to the gentiles after Stephen was martyred.
In middle of 7 years Jesus was crucified — putting an end to sacrifice.
All as foretold in Daniel 9
COVENANT CONFIRMED
In the 70th week Messiah was cut off — making reconciliation for iniquity — and bringing in everlasting righteousness.
During these 7 years the covenant was confirmed to many in Israel through Jesus and His disciples.

JERUSALEM DESTROYED
Before becoming Roman emperor, Prince Titus was charged with ending the Jews’ rebellion against Roman rule.
Josephus recorded that when Titus destroyed Jerusalem, his army killed 1.1 million people, mostly Jews — nearly 100,000 more were enslaved.
SIEGE OF JERUSALEM
Nov 66 AD – Roman army surrounded Jerusalem.
Jul 70 AD – Roman army breached Jerusalem walls and daily sacrifice taken away.
Sep 70 AD – Siege ended when Titus gained possession of upper city. Prince Titus then freed survivors who followed Jesus.
ABOMINATION THAT CAUSES DESOLATION
Prophetic years are 360 days (average of solar and lunar years).
Siege of Jerusalem 3 yrs. 7 mos. (1290 days) until daily sacrifice was ended (Nov 66-Jul 70).

Smyrna comes from word myrrh — preservative in burial and symbol of death.
During 100-313 AD reportedly about 10 million believers martyred through Roman persecutions.
Worst was during 10-year persecution under Diocletian (303-313 AD). ”10 days”
CHURCH IN PERGAMUM
Pergamos means married to the tower (Babylonian priests moved to Pergamos and established pagan worship).
Satan didn’t destroy church with persecutions — so next strategy destroy it from within.
313-538 AD believers compromised with Roman religion.
CHURCH IN THYATIRA
Thyatira means ruled by a woman (think harlot church).
538 AD Emperor Justinian decreed pope head of all churches (religious & civil power).
Believers labeled heretics and millions killed.
1514 AD Roman Catholic Church declared opposition dead.
CHURCH IN SARDIS
Sardis means the escaping one, or those who come out.
Luther & other reformers protested against false teaching & tyranny of papacy.
Millions of Catholics escaped papal church in Reformation.
1514-1798 (Napoleon’s army reach Rome & capture Pope).
CHURCH IN PHILADELPHIA
Philadelphia means brotherly love.
Many souls were saved during great international missions and revival of 1800s.
God placed an open door of opportunity that no man could shut.

Laodicea means rule of the laity or people.
Today most Christian churches give all power to a pastor and some elders or deacons.
Today’s church is described by Jesus as lukewarm and self-satisfied.

FOUR KINGDOMS
The Book of Revelation includes the prophetic history of the Roman Empire.
Rome is the 4th kingdom seen in the dreams of King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and the prophet Daniel (Daniel chapters 2 & 7).
The first 3 kingdoms were Babylon, Persia & Greece.
THE 1st SEAL
White Horse.
96-180 AD was when Rome was at height of its expansion and military conquests.
Roman victories were celebrated by riding white horses in victory parades.
Laurel wreathes of victory were worn by the Caesars after their armies won battles.
THE 2nd SEAL
Red Horse.
185-284 AD was when Rome went through revolution and civil wars including 32 emperors and many others vying for power.
A bloody epoch
THE 3rd SEAL
Black Horse.
Romans paid heavy taxes to finance many wars.
A measure of wheat for a penny and three measures of barley for a penny (Rev 6:6) match prices from 222-235 AD.
Period of despair & gloom.

THE 4th SEAL
Pale Horse.
250-300 AD was a period of famine, plague, disease and violence in the Roman Empire.
“Earth” in this passage is better interpreted as “land” — not the entire world.
Roman Empire is land of this prophecy.
Death characterized this era.
THE 5th SEAL
Millions of martyrs killed by Roman Empire.
303-312 AD under Emperor Diocletian was the worst of the Roman persecutions.
Lord Jesus, we know that You shall avenge the blood of believers who would not deny your saving Name. Come in glory mighty King
Think political upheavals & leaders when earthquakes & stars appear in the prophecy (symbolic language).
313-395 AD dividing of Rome & receding of its leaders’ power.
Under Constantine, new state religion, but was pagan idolatry mixed with Christianity.

Judgments about to come on Roman Empire (7 trumpets).
Rome brutally persecuted Christians for centuries — yet Christ’s church persisted.
Satan took new strategy — infiltrate church & destroy from within.

Think of war when hail appears in the prophecy (symbolic language).
400-410 AD Goths under Alaric attacked Roman Empire from the north in Greece, Gaul, Spain & Italy.
Goths had scorched earth reputation in their invasions (biblical focus on burning).
THE 2nd TRUMPET
Think of great nations when mountains appear in the prophecy (symbolic language).
425-470 AD Vandals under Genseric attacked Mediterranean coasts & islands of Roman Empire.
Vandal conquest of the seas.

451 AD Huns under Attila (great star) attacked Roman Empire.
Attila’s major battles fought on rivers. Huns lured Roman armies into crossing rivers by faking retreat, then attacked while Romans crossing rivers, leaving contaminated waters causing disease.
THE 4th TRUMPET
Think of leadership when sun, moon and stars appear in the prophecy (symbolic language for the discerning and to preserve message).
476 AD Heruli under Odoacer invaded Rome and last Western Roman emperor (sun) captured. He was leader of 1/3 of empire.
THE 5th TRUMPET
1st Islamic Empire
610 AD Mohammed (star) received messages.
After Mohammed died 632, Arabs moved out of Arabia to conquer other lands where Romans had ruled.
Muslim conquests tapered off 750-760 or ~150 yrs after Islam born (5 prophetic mos 5*30)

Arab Warriors ”…on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron;” Rev 9:7-9

1062 AD Turks crossed Euphrates River & attacked Eastern Roman Empire (ERE).
Turkish kingdom 4 sections.
1453 Turks captured Constantinople (ERE HQ).
In prophetic time measures: Year(360)+Month(30)+Day(1) = 391
1453-1062 = 391
6th
Turks used large cannon to knock down thick walls of Constantinople.
Lit fuse at TAIL of cannon to ignite gunpowder to launch ball from MOUTH of cannon.
First time a city fell due to such artillery.

THE LITTLE BOOK
1455 after invention of printing press, Gutenberg produced first printed Bible.
To John writing in 1st century the Bible would be little compared with long scrolls of his era.
Bibles were godsend since papal church had banned & burned the Scriptures.
REFORMATION COMETH
The Word of God is sweet to our souls.
But Satan starting in 1500s would intensify his war against Christ’s church and that would be bitter indeed.

538 AD Emperor Justinian decreed Pope head of all churches.
1798 Napolean’s army reached Rome and captured Pope.
Papal church (Gentiles) trampled true church for 1260 years (538-1798)

TWO WITNESSES Jesus’ witnesses are His word & His true followers.
Papal church burned Scripture & persecuted Christ’s followers.
Some historians estimate that >50 million people were deemed heretics by papal church and eliminated.
1260 days (538-1798 papal rule).
DEAD WITNESSES
May 1514: 5th Lateran Council — papal church proclaimed Scriptures & Christians silenced (2 Witnesses dead).
Oct 1517: Luther posted 95 theses. Protestant Reformation born.
3.5 years of silence — just as foretold in prophetic time measure (3.5 days)
WOMAN, CHILD & DRAGON
Satan’s efforts to sabotage God’s plan to bring people into His eternal family.
Woman: Old Testament Israel with 12 tribes.
Child: Jesus Christ.
Dragon: Satan.
Herod ordered death for boys 2 and under.
Jesus taken to Egypt for safety.
This is Amillennialism. It is an old heresy that allegorizes scripture in order to excuse 2000+ years of no prophetic fulfillment. This man has no understanding of the ministry of the apostle Paul. We are living in the dispensation of the grace of God not the kingdom given to Israel.
