That is not what 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, 13 says. That is what the Alexandrian texts have been translated to say. Don’t believe me? Compare:
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

Notice the substitution of “love” for “charity?” In the Bible
charity is not giving to the poor. Doubt it? Let’s see the truth:
13:3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
Well, well, well…looks like we found something the Bible perverters missed.
This is but one of many differences between God’s word and man’s interpretation. But you know, Satan did say, “Gen 3:5 “For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.”
Now just look at us playing God and changing the words to suit our opinions and fashion. But oh, so pious, folding their heads and bowing their heads claiming to be led of God while truth is dragged down the steps and tossed in the. street.

We live in the dispensation of the grace of God. We are not here to bring in Israel’s kingdom and we are not Israel’s replacement. Believers today are members of the body of Christ.
I am glad Christ is being preached. Even Christ of envy and strife. A preaching of Christ in contention not sincerely. But sooner or later you will have to deal with the apostle Paul and his salvation. Paul preached a message that even Peter said was hard to understand. It was hard to understand because it was not what Peter preached in Acts 2. Paul’s preaching was called heresy by many. Did you know that?
