The birches have shed their golden coins

Here in Maine, birch trees are prolific… and beautiful. On a stop yesterday, I found myself facing this, and wanted to share it with you. This is Maine’s “afterglow,” the glorious colors have dissipated into bare branches as nature buttons up for the frigid temps.

If you had to give this image a name, what would you call it?

  1. Only GOD could have designed the branch structure of each tree, different from the next … magnificent! I love the blues and greys of the sky and the last few leaves with bits of orange and brown still attached to a branch. How can one describe such beauty?
Thank you for this gorgeous view!
