You know, the US Senator Dick Lugar who visited Ukraine with then Senator Barack Hussein Obama to set up biolabs there. The Dick Lugar for whom a Biolabs in Ukraine is named? Yeah, THAT Dick.
The Colonel’s Corner [Telegram]:
We’ve all seen the recent mentioning of Obama and Lugar in Ukraine. I decided to take a look at Lugar’s background. It’s quite interesting in light of all the things we’ve learned over the last few years.
Lugar is German descent; Eagle Scout, Beta Theta Pi, Oxford (yes that Oxford) Rhodes Scholar (2nd Bach, Masters)
Served in Navy 1957-1960 notably as intelligence briefer for CNO Burke (not normal); side note Burke attended King of Sweden funeral as sr US rep
Lugar was the longest serving senator EVER from Indiana. Primaried in 2012 by a tea party person who lost in the general election.
Chaired Senate Foreign Relations Committee a couple of times; he took over for BIDEN and was replaced by BIDEN.
Most of his senate work focused on nuclear, biological and chemical weapons. (Wiki)
Co-sponsored Nunn-Lugar Act. (More on that later)
Voted to ratify Intermediate Range Nuclear Forces Treaty despite having reservations about it
Lugar joined democrats William Cohen (Maine) and John Warner (Virginia) in dissenting on funding Reagan’s SDI but voted FOR transferring $500M from the Pentagon to dismantled nuclear weapons.
He voted FOR NAFTA and supported GATT but voted against Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty
Lugar voted to confirm Sotomayor, Kagan, Dream Act, New Start Treaty, gun control bills, congressional earmark resulting in 1st 6-term senator to lose in primary since 1952; he voted for 5 cent a gallon gas tax to “pay for hwy repair” that they are still printing money to pay for;
1983 he voted to spend $130M to develop nerve gas bombs and shells
Ind governor Mitch Daniels was Lugar’s chief of staff from 1977 to 1982
2005 Trip with Sen Obama to Russia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine; detained in Russia for 3 hrs on their way to meet with then Ukraine Pres Yuschenko
2007 Bush signed Lugar Obama Proliferation and Threat Reduction Initiative, which furthered original Nunn-Lugar Act for former Soviet Union (called incrementalism) and the 2003 expansion of original which expanded outside of former Soviet Union. Dizzy yet?
So the expanded, expanded would include conventional arms stockpile, which isn’t really an expansion, its a completely different thing all together but, whatever.
According to Lugar, US could do more about detecting and interdicting WMD, cause it worked in Iraq (NOT). This bill consolidated, in the state Dept, one office with commensurate budget equal to the importance of threat these weapons pose. In other words, more money to launder to contractors who contribute to Uniparty candidates. Exact quote: “calls upon the State Department to implement a global effort to seek out and destroy surplus and unguarded stocks of conventional armaments and to cooperate with allies and international organizations when possible”
WHAT THE HELL?? Did you know we were hunting down unguarded weapon stashes and destroying them? AND cooperating with UN, global, orgs to do it?
After being defeated by a tea party candidate, Lugar set up a Non Profit (bc they all do):
The Lugar Center; focusing on global food security, WMD, aid effectiveness and bipartisan governance (read UNIPARTY).
Professor at Indiana Univ, J William Fulbright Prize (globalist), Knighted by Queen, Obama Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient
Lugar Center global partners: Arms Control Assoc; Ctr for Strategic&International Studies; Ind Univ; Levin Center at Wayne Law; McCourt School of Public Policy; Modernizing Foreign Assistance Network; Nuclear Threat Initiative; Proj on Gov Oversight
Son John Lugar is founder and partner of international private equity firm (see the pattern); has new ventures in former Soviet Union and commercial realtor in DC (not shady at all).
Other Lugar Center staff: Marty Morris (his former chief of staff); Dan Diller; Neil Brown (fellow at German Marshall Fund of US, principle at KKR a global investment firm, advisor at Goldwyn Global strategy Harvard/Oxford guy); Lori Rowley (token climate change advisor) all with Lugar on foreign relations committee; Carl Meacham (CFR mbr, VP Pharmacy Research & Manufacturers of America (nice who all the WMD bio weapon interchanges with Pharma and research, right?) And worked on democrat staffs before moving over to Lugar’s.
