Daniel Chester French’s first commissioned sculpture was “The Minuteman” that stands in Concord, Massachusetts.

The figure captures the spirt of the ‘citizen soldier’, as it depicts a farmer turning away from his plow, having laid his coat upon it, to pick up his rifle and answer the call to arms.

“In case you missed it, here’s the 7 minute ‘orientation film’ or publicity trailer for the project that I posted last night.  I helped Eduardo Montes-Bradley edit a 3 minute long segment of this trailer, for which he graciously gave me a screen credit in the finished film.” — Brian Cates
