The hoaxer who tried to kill Greene later called the police after they left Greene’s home to confess and dare the FBI to come find them.
“Swatting” is the action or practice of making a prank call to Emergency Services in an attempt to bring about the dispatch of a large number of armed police officers to a particular address to kill a believed suspect.
In the past, swatting has resulted in police shooting innocent people.
“They wanted me to be murdered — death by cop. That’s what swatting is, and they were doing this in hopes that the police would kill me,” said the Congresswoman days after the two incidents.
