Snowden was a traitor but he flipped. That’s why Putin gave him citizenship.
He was a protege of Brennan at the CIA and Brennan had him get a job with NSA.
NSA are military intelligence and patriots.
CIA are traitors.
Snowden exposed the NSA ability to capture all electronic communications globally in order to weaken the NSA.
He fled for his life.

He fled to China first thinking they would want that technology and protect him.
They sent him to Russia.
In Russia, you either flip or be tortured and Snowden ain’t a tough guy.
He flipped a long time ago and Putin is keeping him safe.
Trump could have had Putin send him back anytime but it’s easier to protect him in Russia than here.
