A huge THANK YOU to Dr. Peter Garas of Health First Medical Group in Melbourne, Florida for successfully accomplishing carpal tunnel release surgery on my dominant (right) hand today. He’s the best. His colleagues who assisted love working with him and I could see why. We laughed and bantered through the event.
As you can see, I am bandaged up and will be for the next three to four days as the wound heals. I chose to undergo the procedure using a local anesthetic (lidocaine injections) so I was aware and awake throughout the event. Numb, but aware.
That numbness is dissipating and I’m already able to type with my right hand.
Thank you all for your kind messages and prayers while I went through this fairly common procedure, which I had put off for far too long.
