Some of you might remember this simple song and the memories it brings of innocent days.
My daughter was newborn, and the song reminds me of sitting in a sun-filled room, feeding my beautiful infant as the sun streamed through the windows and this song played in the background.

Ah, the ‘good ol’ days’ … when the phrase “back in the day” means decades, not two or three years like the kids today. It was when we could understand the lyrics and the message.
“Good Lovin”, “Groovin”, “People Got to Be Free”, “How Can I Be Sure”, “It’s a Beautiful Mornin'” and more from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Rascals / Young Rascals.
I was in Junior High (why was that changed to “middle school”? Is that in reference to “Middle Earth” of the Tolkein world?) school.
Boot jeans, bell-bottoms, Beatles and Beach Boys haircuts … big hair, mini-skirts and flowers. Dave Clark Five, Paul Revere and the Raiders,
Those were the days. Some people knew back then there was something horribly wrong going on … Buffalo Springfield, “For What It’s Worth”.
It’s taken over half a century to get to where the horrible is being addressed.
It likely won’t take much longer.
Be patient – you won’t regret it. Listen to the music from 40,000 feet where your vision will be clear.
