This kind of corruption goes back decades. Eisenhower warned against the Military Industrial Complex. While my father and millions of other Great Americans and our Allies were fighting the Nazis in Europe and dying, our industry and banking bastards were trading with the Nazis – Ford, GM, Chase Bank, Standard Oil, ITT Communications, et al. FDR knew about it. He did nothing.
I was introduced to this book years ago by a girlfriend I met while studying and living in Princeton:
“Trading With The Enemy,” by Charles Higham. This review sums it up:
“This perennial classic of political literature remains the only book to document the trading of the American financial establishment with Hitler’s Germany in World War II, from Pearl Harbor to V-E Day.
