A long time ago God called me to share my life.
I get grief from people for doing it sometimes and even my wife says I should be careful sharing personal stuff.
But God wants me to share what he’s doing in my life.
I’m just an ordinary Joe.
I’m no more special than anybody else, I was just given a gift, the knowledge of what I was and what God wants me to become.
I can never explain it to anyone because it’s personal.
Everyone’s relationship with God is very personal.
God used a person one day, who called me by a different name.
I didn’t understand why and he wouldn’t explain it.
He told me that’s who I am.
I’m an encourager.
God made me to be an encourager and I’m meant to share life, the good and the bad because God is with me in all of it as He is with you too!

That is the message!
My daughter came into my life when she was three years old.
I had to learn to be a dad.
I was a stepchild too and knew how hard it was for my dad.
I tried my best to make her know she was my daughter.
I made a lot of mistakes along the way and certainly have a lot of regrets, especially working too much.
But she gave me a lot of grace.
I’m actually closer to her than my two younger daughters.
We’ve been through a lot but there were two anchors in our life.
Our love for each other and both finding God’s love too.
It changed everything.
On Easter Sunday many years ago she passed me a note in church that I’ll never forget.
It said this.
“I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,”
Philippians 3:10 NIV
I’ll never forget it and I praise God to this day for that moment.
She is a lot like me.
We both have a very emotional relationship with Jesus and music ignites the fire in our hearts.
I’m truly blessed and very proud of her!
