I see it happening all too frequently here in Cape Canaveral.
People are walking their dogs in the bright heat of day after the Florida sun has turned asphalt or any hard surface into a frying pan.
I cringe for those pups whose owners don’t think to protect their canine with paw covers, letting their poor doggos walk on those skillet-like surfaces.
Florida’s DEM has put out a reminder that goes for everyone whether they have a pet in Florida or elsewhere (Alaska, you’re excused):
