Spit Ball
Supreme Court decision
Maybe I’m in the minority but I am very thankful for the SC decision that strikes down gerrymandering.
That’s what the case was all about.
Lots of people, including some justices, wanted to make it a case about the power of state legislatures over elections.
That’s not what this case was about.
Why do I love this decision?
Because state legislatures don’t have the power under the constitution to draw the district lines in order to guarantee their constant re-election and avoid the will of the people.
That’s what’s happened by both parties as long as I’ve been alive.
Which ever party controls the state legislature after a census, gets to “redraw” the congressional districts.
Have you seen some of these ridiculous lines drawn where they are carving out specific areas, often time based on race or wealth?
This is exactly the kind of BS that we need to stop.
This is why we are in the position we are in right now with constant stolen elections.
I’m sorry but state legislatures do not have more power than the people over elections.
Nobody does!
The right to vote supersedes the power of the state legislature or anybody else.
Gerrymandering needs to end and thank God it is ending.
I believe this has taken us one more step closer to “power back to the people.”
Just my opinion though.

I haven’t read the decision.
I just know the original case was based on gerrymandering which is something I’ve been against forever.
I don’t care which party does it.
The state legislatures shouldn’t be allowed to draw new district lines in order to avoid the people’s right to vote them out.
That’s been going on as long as I’ve been alive and I believe the people should be able to vote out anybody they want to.
If you think about it.
If there was no gerrymandering, how many of these commie leftists and RINOS would have been voted out long ago instead of being there till they’re almost 80 years old?
I know a lot of people have tried to make this case about state legislatures rights over elections but that wasn’t what the case was about.
In my opinion, the peoples right to vote “Trumps” the state legislature or anybody else.

So many states like that. It’s completely ridiculous!
They do everything they can to avoid the will of the people.
In my opinion the peoples right to vote was upheld in this decision and I’m thankful.

I am very picky about who I listen to for information.
I think that is critical in a narrative war where both sides are pushing narratives.
For me, all the doom and gloom narrative is predictable.
I want real information that helps me understand what’s happening in the background.
All the other stuff is just politics and I don’t pay attention to it anymore.
We are far beyond the Republican vs Democrat narrative and frankly it doesn’t interest me anymore.
