We are thankful that our relatives in Hawai’i are safe & not impacted by this disaster…
IMHO, the Governor MUST put a moratorium/freeze on all property transactions, taxes & levies to preserve Native Hawaiian ownership AND make it a criminal offense for anyone attempting to take advantage of those who were impacted!!!
Futhermore, he needs to freeze pre-disaster, consummable prices AND provide temporary housing & subsistance to materially- impacted owners & leasees to allow the time necessary for materially impacted owners to fully recover from this disaster!!!
The State of Hawai’i must also acknowledge and assume liability for their gross negligence for lack of timely emergency response & coordination, culpability for their defective resource management policies, failure to heed, prepare & remediate numerous prior wildfire warnings, confusing emergency response actions that exacerbated the overall disaster impact, failure to establish an on-site emergency operations command center, assume liability for loss of lives & generations of family!!!
Has the Governor done this???
Already, state employees in key leadership positions have already resigned or have been reassigned from their posts – Why??? Is this an attempt to deflect the State’s responsibility, liability & failures to certain individuals??? Praying for the people of Hawai’i – especially Mau’i!!!
