House Republicans still can’t settle on a candidate to be the Speaker of the House.

And now Trey Gowdy dropped a bombshell about Jim Jordan that will change everything you think.
20 establishment RINOs banded together to defeat Jim Jordan’s bid to become the Speaker of the House on the first ballot.
Former Congressman Trey Gowdy called into Martha MacCallum’s Fox News show and claimed the RINOs refused to vote for Jordan to punish Jordan’s conservative supporters.
Gowdy explained that these Swamp-aligned RINOs took out their frustration on Jordan over the fact they are furious conservatives booted Kevin McCarthy as Speaker of the House for selling out to Democrats and then declined to support the Swamp’s chosen candidate to succeed McCarthy, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise.
“I don’t think this is about Jimmy,” Gowdy, who is a weekend host on Fox News, told Martha MacCallum after calling into The Story. “It is about his supporters. And that is what I am consistently hearing up to, and including in the last hour. It is not Jim Jordan. It is the fact that Kevin McCarthy was the victim of a drive-by shooting orchestrated by a small group of people and Stevie Scalise got one crack at it. What they said to Stevie, ‘Ok, you had your chance. You couldn’t get to 217 or 218. Now it’s not your chance anymore,’” Gowdy stated.
Gowdy acknowledged that tensions were running high in the GOP conference and as House Republicans met behind closed doors the establishment RINOs were making it clear that they opposed Jordan despite the fact that every conservative in Congress, every conservative issue group, and conservative voters all wanted Jim Jordan as the next Speaker of the House.
“Look, politics is always fractured, Martha,” Gowdy. “But what they’re doing in the room right now is really – they’re trying couples counseling for people who want to kill each other. Having a marriage and family counselor for this level of division and these fissures, I cannot overstate how angry some Republican members are with Jordan supporters – not Jordan. His supporters.”

This condition of this situation could be possible, but I’m not sure about Gowdy. Last year it came out that he’s a never-Trumper and one of those at Faux News who parrot the Mockingbird Media deep states’ screeching of ‘iNsUrReCtIoN’.
He’s not important enough for me to waste any time in-depth digging on who he is. I used to listen to him when he had a Sunday night hour slot on Faux News and he seemed fairly knowledgeable of what he presented … but when I found out he wasn’t much more than a silver-tongued devil I quit that noise riki-tik.
The issues could be a combination of the spineless-lying-compromised variations of used car salespeople and life insurance salespeople who are never capable of telling the truth about *anything*.
It’s gonna take the smoothest talker in the ‘closed room’ to get enough of the 20 clowns to vote on Jordan … sure as hell don’t want Hack-eeem to get voted in and that’s likely where it’s headed if some of the 20 clowns want to keep playing their schoolyard games.
