Good grief…

Will my hometown ALWAYS carry this stigma?

Loved it there when growing up, but so glad I’m not there now. Ruined by liberal policies… haunted now by ultra liberals. Ugh.

What the Chamber of Commerce started as a yearly publicity event to benefit local merchants, October’s monthlong “Haunted Happenings” cashes in on Salem’s witch hysteria has evolved into this.

Salemites! It’s way past time to clean up your decadent city, overrun by freaks cashing in on evil and perversions.

Will some things ever change…?

  1. Oh.Good.Grief!! Witchcraft, as practiced by “witches” in the Original Salem Mass were NOT Satanists! Insanity. These women, and some men, were practicing herbalists. You just didn’t dial up Bah-Stun if someone in the family caught a severe sore throat. (Which, by the way, can still kill you.) No, you went to the nice looking grandma on the next farm who had an ample garden of goodness and relied on her to help the family through the spreading sore throat. 👩‍🌾 The whole “Witches” BS came into being with a CHRISTIAN preacher who saw an opportunity to fill his church and therefore his pockets by terrifying folks in the door. Then all the preachers wanted in on the scheme, and witch hunting was born. (Covid, any politician, “scientists”, medical research labs…….any of this can be interchanged with preachers.) Think I’m lying? Foxglove is Digitalis. In the old days, before the world went insane, no one could be a pharmacist until first they had a degree in Botany. Yes….the study of plants. Want to read on excellent book on Salem Witch Hunting? The Heretic’s Daughter, (2008) was written by Kathleen Kent, a tenth generation descendant of Martha Carrier, who was accused and ultimately murdered. Her husband was Thomas Carrier, who served Oliver Cromwell.
YIKES! Delusional people again trying to milk money from folks.
