From JuJu’s News Recap on Spitballers

Hot off the press. The three month CR passed with 82 Republicans voting no. The government will apparently not be shutting down under the Biden-Harris administration, unless the Republican Senators fight the stopgap. 🤔👀🩸

The article is too long to recap as it has too much information to exclude. However, it’s a quick read. IMO, the report basically indicates that the top officials of the Secret Service are to blame for most of the failures.

Zelensky was flown to Pennsylvania aboard a U.S. Air Force C-17 to visit a munitions plant and meet with local officials. During his visit, he criticized Donald Trump and J.D. Vance for their comments on the Ukraine War with Russia.

Letters were sent to AG Merrick Garland, Defense Sec Lloyd Austin, and the White House Counsel’s office. Chairman James Comer said that the committee seeks to understand the circumstances that led to or facts to justify the decision.

Comer also said Zelensky’s criticisms of the current administration’s political opponent is “highly concerning.” He also said that the committee is investigating the coordination or communication among the administration, the PA Governor’s office, and Zelensky for use, or solicitation of use of government property, to politically benefit Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign.

The committee asked for any documents from Garland, Austin, and the WH Counsel to be provided by no later than Oct 2. 👊💥

On Wednesday, House Speaker Mike Johnson sent a letter to President Zelensky requesting that he immediately fire Ukraine Ambassador to the U.S., Oksana Markarova, stating that she organized the Pennsylvania event in which Zelensky toured the American manufacturing site. He said there were no Republicans invited to the munitions plant with the tour being a partisan campaign event, designed to help Democrats and was clearly election interference. Johnson reminded Zelensky that all foreign nations should avoid opining on or interfering in American domestic politics and warned that this incident should not be repeated. 🔥

On Wednesday, the House Judiciary Committee sent a letter to AG Merrick Garland regarding the public release of Ryan Routh’s manifesto, which was included in the DOJ’s court filing this week, which outlined his plan to assassinate Donald Trump.

Chairman Jim Jordan said, ‘During your tenure as AG, the Department has refused to release ‘manifestos’ written by perpetrators of high-profile crimes.

Yet this week, the Department released Routh’s in a public filing,’ claiming the action could endanger Trump by providing a blueprint for future attacks, and at the same time aggressively and unconstitutionally prosecuting Donald Trump.

He said the committee is investigating whether the DOJ is “upholding its standard of impartiality” and requested all documents and communications related to the manifesto and the FBI’s May 2023 “Protection of Legacy Tokens” memorandum by Oct 9. 👊💥 Note: The FBI document was sent to the Nashville Police Dept regarding the Covenant school shooting. 👀

On Wednesday, the U.S. Justice Dept Inspector General Michael Horowitz testified at a House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government about FBI whistleblowers. He was asked if he has evidence of the number of confidential sources that were operating on the Capital grounds during the J6 riot. Horowitz said his forthcoming report will include “information in that regard.” Rep Thomas Massie asked Horowitz how many were in the crowd. He said, “I’m not in a position to say that, both because it’s in draft form, and we have not gone through the classification review. And so I need to be careful.” 🤔👀

On Tuesday, the RNC and the Michigan Republican Party filed a lawsuit against Sec of State Jocelyn Benson for allegedly violating state law with the guidance she issued for counting absentee ballots, during the primary election. Michigan election law requires that absentee ballot stub numbers match the numbers in the poll book or on the ballot return envelope to be tabulated. Instead, Benson instructed ‘local clerk’s and election inspectors to process and tabulate any stub that was missing or did not match the poll book or return envelope as “challenged ballots” instead of rejecting them as required by Michigan law.’ The lawsuit asked the court to require Benson to follow the law. 👊 Note: While I would like to see Benson charged with a crime, I will take the small win for now, with an orange jumpsuit and bracelets coming after the November election. 😵‍💫

Donald Trump’s campaign confirmed that Trump will return to the Butler Farm location in Pennsylvania for a rally on Oct 5, at 5 P.M. EST, where gunman Thomas Crooks attempted to assassinate him on July 13. Trump will honor rally goer Corey Comperatore, who was killed on that day. 👊🙏❤️
