A preemptive pardon has never been challenged in court.
I believe that has been the plan in order to remove a president’s ability to pardon people to cover his own crimes.
Fauci knows he committed a lot of crimes and he actually wanted this pardon.
He actually thinks it’s legit.
He thinks it’s his “get out of jail free” card.
“Dr Fauci told US media that he “truly appreciated” Biden for taking action, adding that the possibility of prosecution has created “immeasurable and intolerable distress” on his family.
“Let me be perfectly clear, I have committed no crime and there are no possible grounds for any allegation or threat of criminal investigation or prosecution of me,” he added.”

Trump wrote an executive order to specifically deal with people like Fauci.

And Biden conveniently renewed this executive order for four straight years.
Why?
Because Biden is leveraged.
And for the last four years, while that executive order stayed in effect, it allowed investigations to continue to gather evidence against people like Fauci.
And when the 2020 election fraud is finally exposed, everything Biden has done will be proven to be unconstitutional, including ALL pardons.

Apparently Schiff declined the pardon likely so he can take the 5th. That’s great. The rest of the Jan 6th Committee can be forced to testify under oath and if that results in a crime being uncovered by Schiff he can be prosecuted by the testimony of the pardoned members.
This may yet blow up in the Dem’s faces.
Investigate them all anyway and test the constitutionality of “preemptive pardons” with the Supreme Court. This should be considered admission of a crime.
