What is Treasonous Conspiracy?

While distinct from Treason, Seditious Conspiracy (also referred to as Treasonous Conspiracy) is a federal crime under 18 U.S. Code § 2384.

It involves two or more people conspiring to use force against the US government, such as to overthrow it, oppose its authority, prevent law execution, or seize government property. 

Treasonous Conspiracy can result in fines and up to 20 years in prison.

Treason carries a minimum prison sentence of at least five years, a fine of at least $10,000, disqualification from holding federal office, and a possible DEATH SENTENCE.
