I have reviewed the so-called “Select Committee Pardon” — a pre-Trump-Inauguration act of political insulation in the form of presidential clemency “signed” by President Biden (executed by autopen) — granting a sweeping pardon to Adam Schiff, every member of the January 6 Select Committee, their staff, and, notably, all Metropolitan and US Capitol Police who may have participated in the Committee’s “investigation.”
My analysis:
1.Sweeping Scope – The text covers “any offenses against the United States which they may have committed or participated in, arising from or in any manner related to the activities or subject matter of the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol.” This is extraordinarily broad, potentially immunizing any federal crime connected, even indirectly, to the Committee’s work.
2.Ambiguity on Timing – Unlike the Hunter Biden pardon, which explicitly covered about 14 years of conduct, this one has no temporal limit. Prosecutors could argue it applies only to conduct during or after the Committee’s existence. Schiff and others could claim it shields any act, no matter when committed, if the Committee addressed it in any way.
3.Likely Judicial Interpretation – In DC courts, I expect any Trump–Russia matters touched on by the Committee to fall within the pardon’s scope. The DC Circuit Court of Appeals will almost certainly affirm. At the Supreme Court, it’s a 50/50 call — not on whether the clemency power is valid (it is plenary: complete, absolute, and not subject to legislative or judicial override), but on whether acts predating the Committee’s creation are covered. On the “autopen issue,” if Biden confirms he authorized it, the Court would almost certainly uphold the pardons.
4.Unrelated Exposure – Schiff still faces legal jeopardy in other matters. I expect charges for mortgage fraud, and I believe New York Attorney General Letitia James will face similar charges. These are outside the pardon’s scope, as they are unrelated to the Committee’s work and are otherwise de minimis white-collar crimes.
Why this likely stands:
The Constitution’s pardon power (Article II, Section 2) has been interpreted as extremely broad — covering any federal offense, even before charges are filed. In Ex parte Garland (1866), the Supreme Court upheld a pardon for “all offenses” a person may have committed during the Civil War. In Murphy v. Ford (1975), a court upheld President Ford’s blanket pardon of Richard Nixon for all crimes he may have committed in office.
Given this precedent, the pardon will almost certainly stand in DC courts. The Supreme Court could narrow its application, but history strongly favors Schiff and the others covered. The real legal fight will be over what acts fall within its scope — whether pre-Committee conduct can be included simply because the Committee later addressed it.
A sitting member of Congress usurping the President of the United States with illegal acts.
Not only does this first-hand account implicate Schiff, but it elevates it to a conspiracy involving other “unnamed members” asking the same thing in a separate meeting.
Schiff has “preemptive” pardons (that should be overturned). He can not plead the 5th. Where are his subpoenas?
Article II, Section 2, Clause 1: Is one big, long sentence.
It’s interpretations with drawn out comments and explanations and applications though, go ON and ON and ON.

Not sure how pardons can work without convictions. Seems the dems jumped the gun.
Due to the extreme probability the infamous autp-pen was used to sign potentially all of Pedo Joes’ signatures on E.O.s, pardons and directives — derived from statements in the congressional hearings — assuming there will likely be major pushback from the Demon Rats this will likely be sent to SCOTUS for a ruling.
IMO there is no question most if not all of Pedo Joes’ illicitly issued documents will be judged invalid.
