Oh Please don’t freeze out blue states. I’m in PA and on SNAP a whole $24, and grateful for it. I’m 71, disabled and depend on that $24. It’s not our fault that our blue governors have sh*t for brains.
Couldn’t they establish a temporary work around. Apply direct to the federal gov’t so you can be verified until the state complies? There’s always a way.
Just shows how much the blue states value and support their truly needy…..they are too interested in the funds they might lose if their level of fraud is exposed. I live in one being sued to get compliance. The new system needs to havev RIGOROUS oversight. Maybe the stop gap is to withhold ALL other government funding, grants, etc until compliance is attained. NO benefits to the lazy, NO 2nd/3rd generation benefits, not one dime to illegals. Clean it up and then establish a system to do periodic 3rd party audits to maintain compliance. Frankly, the feds should not be involved to begin with……aid should be the responsibility of each state.
