Dear Friends of Candace Owens and those who follow her or have taken an interest in her work,
At this point in our broken world’s history the dedicated pursuit of truth has never been important, and Irina and I support Candace in her dedicated search for the truth.
Much truth has been revealed, even over the last two weeks.
It has shaken decent souls in this world and other people of goodwill to their core.
Frankly, the quality of evil we have been exposed to, is hard to fathom.
In the process of our openly communicating our support for Candace, some bad actors have been creating disinformation.
While we could leave this uncorrected, we have no wish for this to distract from Candace’s mission of getting to the truth.
So, to be clear, at no time have I, my wife, or any associated entities ever funded Candace Owens personally or provided any financial investment in her current business or to her family in any capacity, either directly or indirectly.
Not that we would not have been honoured to have done so or helped in that way, but that just happens to be the simple truth of the matter, despite any false speculation on this point.
We simply admire Candace Owens’ abilities: the way she thinks (we are not alone in that), finds and arrives at truths that seem to evade others, her joyful sense of humour, and her innovative Christian spirit of play.
We were proud to assist in supporting the launch of Turning Point UK in 2018 and, through introductions and US friendships, did help to facilitate the raising of considerable support for Turning Point USA and Turning Point Action in the United States.
We think this was a unique moment for Western civilisation.
In particular, during 2018–2019, when Candace Owens and Charlie Kirk were laying the foundations of the movement that they worked on and created together with the TPUSA team.
Several of our introductions proved to be highly significant and helpful to Turning Point’s rapid growth at that time and for future expansion, and these remain part of it to this day.
They are part of Turning Point’s past history and of its current donor dynamic. In that regard, we mainly communicated and worked with Charlie at that time.
That is one of the reasons why, on October 31, 2019, Charlie Kirk wrote to us, “John, you and Irina have been the 2019 change maker for us.” Charlie Kirk
While others attempted to profit, and indeed did personally profit from raising resources from donors for Charlie and for running the Turning Point businesses and its associated groups, we chose not to.
We helped, often at our own expense, simply because we believed in Charlie and his noble purpose to protect and strengthen free speech.
Our relationship with Candace and George is one of family friendship and mutual respect.
We have sincere admiration for Candace and for George, and we certainly support their positive and benign goals and purposes.
We wish them every possible success in their mission to know the truth.
The road to truth can be a tough road, but once on it for real, it is the one road that, once sincerely embarked upon, one has to go all the way down.
I believe that we can all get to that destination at some point in our eternal existence.
It is very pleasing to us that we played a chance, but in hindsight seemingly providential, role in introducing George and Candace, and we are delighted that they have a strong and bountiful marriage and young family.
We do not, and have never, played any role in advising Candace or George, in directing her, or influencing her views, decisions, communications, or activities in any way, philosophically, religiously, politically, commercially, or otherwise.
Candace is entirely sovereign in what she does and in what she communicates.
Long may that continue, for we believe there is more truth to know.
We are simply very proud to witness what she is doing to find the truth, to expose evil — and to call her and George friends.
As there has been some inaccurate speculation to the contrary, we felt that, to set the record straight, we should make this clear.
Candace is doing very well in creating her platform with George and their team, and it would be quite wrong for anyone to imagine that we have been or are involved in that beyond being observers of the rise in the success of her Number One Podcast and popularity and the simple fact of the affinity that naturally comes with a long acquaintance and friendship.
Candace and George are people of goodwill.
We also appreciate that Candace is helping to keep Charlie Kirk’s legacy pure and the memory of who he really was and what his actual viewpoints were, alive and documented.
