Bobbie Bean, Everyman. For U.S. Senate

Meet Bobbie Bean, a Florida farmer and printer by trade, husband, father and someone who does not stand down when it gets tough, who has made a decision that he’s had enough of politics as usual and aims to do something about it.

“As a resident of Florida, I decided to run as an Independent for the United States Senate because I feel our country is adrift. We need to get back on course, and if elected, I pledge to pay particular attention to the needs of the average American, the Constitution, job creation, affordable health care, Veteran’s services, civil and constitutional rights, a progressive environmental plan, agriculture, and safe and exceptional schools for our children.

Several years ago, I felt compelled to address the burgeoning violence among our youth after our son was viciously bullied at a middle school in Sebring, Florida. His life was changed forever by that incident. That’s when I joined a coalition of parents and legislators to get an anti-bullying bill passed to provide safer schools in Florida. I’ve spent the last 5 years educating the public on youth violence, bullying, and safe schools and lobbied the legislature in Tallahassee to help pass the Jeffrey Johnson Stand Up For All Students Act, which was finally enacted on April 18, 2008.”

As part of our ongoing series in which we interview candidates for the House and the Senate, tonight you’ll get the opportunity to meet Mr. Bean and judge for yourself if he is the man you want representing Florida in the U.S. Senate.  And for all residing in other states, this gives you an opportunity to determine if Bobbie Bean is someone you want casting votes that will affect you too.

  1. Enjoyed the show tonight.
Ya can’t win the lottery if you don’t buy a ticket.
By being in the race, Mr. Bean will have a chance to influence its outcome, even if he doesn’t win.
    I wish I was a Florida citizen… I’d sure vote for him.
    Good luck sir.

You asked for comments on your new layout, Andrea.
I’m one of the most change-averse people you’ll ever meet, but I think I like it. (Without question I love the color.)
Give me a chance to look it over for a while and I’ll update my thoughts later.
