The morning after…

Some quick thoughts before the morning gets away from me….

The Tea Party Express national tour is over — for now — and the folks on the team who worked their hearts out for the wins — and heartbreaking losses — can get some well deserved rest.   Disappointment at the results of the Sharron Angle loss to the slimy Harry Reid who yet today is quoted saying he “wants to preserve Obama’s sweeping health care law and let taxes rise on upper income Americans but “I’m not bullheaded.”

“If we need to work something out with the people who are really rich, I’ll have to look at that,” he told CNN’s “American Morning.” “If there’s some tweaking we need to do with the health care bill, I’m ready for some tweaking. But I’m not going to in any way denigrate the great work we did as a country, and saving America from bankruptcy because of the insurance industry bankrupting us.”

What. A. Chump.  I will never believe it was the people of Nevada who voted to keep him in.  This one stinks of SEIU tampering…

Christine O’Donnell’s loss to Coons is another disappointment.  Do the people of Delaware really think the socialist candidate better represents their best interests???

John Boehner as speaker of the House?  Not impressed.  I’d like to see the new Congress vote for someone who ISN”T establishment Republican. Despite his “tears”, the inside Washington GOP establishment needs to be reined in, and electing the chief GOP establishment kingmaker is NOT the way to do it.

The good news is, we have taken back the HOUSE.  Florida’s Allen West will be in it, and idiots Grayson and Kosmas won’t.  We now wield the wrench that will be thrown into the Marxist machinery that Obama and his socialist thugs have been running at full tilt.  We fully intend to bring that monster to a screeching halt with a clear message:  Obama, your days are numbered.

The bad news is, friendships have been ruined over the divisiveness of the past two years.  People we thought were kindred spirits have turned their backs in bitterness over political differences. But through it, we have forged new friendships based on shared ideals and strategies on how we’ll take our country back.

One last thought….

Last night I forwarded to all on my email list this photoshopped image without a byline credit.  I should have recognized the creative genius behind it as that of Big Fur Hat, the blogger at I Own the World whose political statements via clever image manipulation is simply the best.  Enjoy!

  1. I am cautiously optimistic. At least now there will be some accountability in the government and there will HAVE to be some semblance of compromise between the two parties to get anything done at all in the senate. And if the senate doesn’t toe the line, the house will nullify anything they try to do that is sneaky or underhanded. Now the president will HAVE to work with the republicans even though you could tell at his press conference he found that distasteful. Tough! We have found his arrogance distasteful for the last two years. I am THRILLED at what has happened in Oklahoma. We made history last night in our state. I am curious to see what they do with it. Here, too, I am cautiously optimistic. They are going to have to prove themselves, but at least they have a chance. And I am stunned at the press at the press conference this afternoon with the president. They actually asked some TOUGH questions — you could tell he didn’t like it, but he had to answer them “off the cuff” and he stumbled around a bit. Of course, I hope it wasn’t all talk and no action. We shall see. If he gets down to the business of governing, it will be the first time since he was elected.

  2. rory reid’s LOSS margin is roughly the same as Harry’s WIN margin… and republicans won pretty much the whole state of Nevada..

ergo, ipso facto presto change-o, that election was thoroughly stolen. Reid’s vote tallies make NO sense in the context of how the rest of the candidates did at the hands of the very same voters in the very same booths.

Remember the power outage at the polling places?

How clunky could they be? But nobody will do anything about this.

I think one of our first orders of business ought to be the revamping of all national election rules so that the well-known methods of cheating can no longer be done.

As to Christine, she didn’t lose by any more of a margin than any other repub Delaware candidate… no special proof of “a bad candidate”, more like a cheated electorate across the board.

    But.. what a night! 🙂

More and better things to come.. next time more than 20 of the 33 senators will be democrats. 🙂

    Video coming soon, Andrea..

  3. We were told Angle was one of us and thats not true she like all the rest of the Tea Party endorsed candidate all have political histories. That got me tired before we ever got started,it was the politics as usual.I think that kept the 100% weaken. And then McCain lends a litltle endorsement ? This was what cause the people t sit out of the 2008 election. I am willing to wait and see if these crop of politicians ends up being the same circle we be getting dizzy spinning on.
