On “Peace Be Still”, this morning, Scott Kesterson tells of waking up with two things on his mind – “TRUTH” and Isaiah 34, which he had not read recently enough to know what it was.

So he sat with his coffee and opened his Bible. And guess what Isaiah 34 tells us. Judgement on the nations. Kesterson told us this is something to consider and reflect deeply today. God is moving. He’s not playing games with this. The lines are clear. Pray to God for discernment, for eyes to see. It is right before us. On one side is deceit, a world woven in deceit and built on fear. On the other side is TRUTH, and it’s not an easy path. It’s a rough climb up the face of a mountain. But unlike taking the easy path, we’re doing it with God.

Speak truth. Isaiah 34 is a heavy passage. It is truth in its own way. There is judgement upon this nation, upon all nations, under trial, at the same time. No coincidence. This is a global awakening and at the core of it is God. Its foundation is TRUTH.

We have a great mission before us. It is a hard climb up a rock face. That’s where we are right now. This is a moment in time when safety ropes aren’t there. And we have a decision to make. Truth is at the centerpoint, and what is being demanded of us right now is the power to speak truth and quit speaking lies. We must find the way to speak truth so that others can hear, and in those moments when they don’t, what does it take and pray for a way to have them listen. There’s a judgement on this land and we are a remnant for this time and this place to shake the trees, the waken them, move them from their comfort, which is a lie.

Where they believe everything is going to be OK with just a little pinprick. It will all go away with a pinprick, and another, and another. It’s a cycle of hell. They are making decisions that are not well considered, from a place of fear.

Are we doing everything we can to speak truth and speak it boldly?

I don’t know that wrath looks like Sodom and Gomorrah, but we are at a breaking point – the cusp of change – where something’s got to give. Society is at a critical juncture and its existence as we know it and when they take that pinprick it will change that society forever, thinking that something manmade will save you, will give you longer life. The lies are so deeply woven into people. We are at a tremendous moment in history and none of us should be afraid to call for truth. We are here for a reason in this time and moment. Speak truth and speak it boldly. And say it with care and compassion. Shake people from their sleep, their slumber. Feel God moving through us. Trust in Him. Even in this storm.

Judgment Against the Nations

1 Come near, you nations, and listen; pay attention, you peoples! Let the earth hear, and all that is in it, the world, and all that comes out of it!

2 The LORD is angry with all nations; his wrath is on all their armies. He will totally destroy them, he will give them over to slaughter.

3 Their slain will be thrown out, their dead bodies will stink; the mountains will be soaked with their blood.

4 All the stars in the sky will be dissolved and the heavens rolled up like a scroll; all the starry host will fall like withered leaves from the vine, like shriveled figs from the fig tree.

5 My sword has drunk its fill in the heavens; see, it descends in judgment on Edom, the people I have totally destroyed.

6 The sword of the LORD is bathed in blood, it is covered with fat— the blood of lambs and goats, fat from the kidneys of rams. For the LORD has a sacrifice in Bozrah and a great slaughter in the land of Edom.

7 And the wild oxen will fall with them, the bull calves and the great bulls. Their land will be drenched with blood, and the dust will be soaked with fat.

8 For the LORD has a day of vengeance, a year of retribution, to uphold Zion’s cause.

9 Edom’s streams will be turned into pitch, her dust into burning sulfur; her land will become blazing pitch!

10 It will not be quenched night or day; its smoke will rise forever. From generation to generation it will lie desolate; no one will ever pass through it again.

11 The desert owland screech owl will possess it; the great owl and the raven will nest there. God will stretch out over Edom the measuring line of chaos and the plumb line of desolation.

12 Her nobles will have nothing there to be called a kingdom, all her princes will vanish away.

13 Thorns will overrun her citadels, nettles and brambles her strongholds. She will become a haunt for jackals, a home for owls.

14 Desert creatures will meet with hyenas, and wild goats will bleat to each other; there the night creatures will also lie down and find for themselves places of rest.

15 The owl will nest there and lay eggs, she will hatch them, and care for her young under the shadow of her wings; there also the falcons will gather, each with its mate.

16 Look in the scroll of the LORD and read: None of these will be missing, not one will lack her mate. For it is his mouth that has given the order, and his Spirit will gather them together.

17 He allots their portions; his hand distributes them by measure. They will possess it forever and dwell there from generation to generation.
