From my perch on the porch…

The news is getting bleaker. “The Storm” is building. Economist Steve Cortez has tagged it “Biden’s Blue Christmas.” We’re entering rough water as cargo container ships with goods we need, want, and use, are bow to stern afloat on the seven seas, station-keeping until the logjam breaks. Will it? Who knows? Not any time soon, that’s certain.
Here’s what some folks are talking about this morning…
Steve Cortes:

…

Interesting today, as I was driving W to Ft Worth I pass a large train switch area, lot of train traffic usually. Today on the way to Ft Worth, at least 75 train flat cargo cars held 2 – 4 cargo boxes each, many labeled Evergreen. I have neer seen them stacked 3 high. So would assume they are empty. When going home this afternoon, passed same place. Train still sitting with empty cargo containers stacked on top of each other. Going West was a train going into Ft Worth, on each flat bad were 1 18 wheeler trailer. Many marked UPS, Walmart, etc. I have never driving this for over 6 years several times week, seen 18 wheel trailers being on the train flatbeds. It looks like they are trying to make us run out of supplies, holding everything up. The lumber shot up early this year, now prices back down, not out of stock and MSM doesn’t talk about it. Also same with cars. Friend used to drive to E Texas and said outside of Midlothian, was acres and acres and acres, as far as you could see of cars and trucks sitting. When MSM said we had no cars. Now says many still there, but not as full. Yet the car dealers in town have maybe 40% in stock.
