He’s lying. Two of Fauci’s own staffers flagged EcoHealth as funding gain-of-function research in Wuhan in 2016.

But Fauci’s agency, the NAAID, “downplayed” the finding after accepting his very good pal Peter Daszak’s explanation as to why gain-of-function research was not actually gain-of-function research.

Two subordinates of Dr. Anthony Fauci raised concerns in May 2016 that taxpayer dollars may be funding gain-of-function experiments on bat coronaviruses at a Wuhan lab, but dropped the issue after nonprofit group EcoHealth Alliance downplayed the concerns, documents show.

The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases staffers reversed course after requesting EcoHealth Alliance President Peter Daszak submitted a “determination” to the agency that downplayed the risks of his proposed experiments, the records show.

The NIH, incredibly, accepted EcoHealth’s belief that this work would not be considered gain of function, and accepted EcoHealth’s rationale for this belief,” Rutgers University professor Richard Ebright told the DCNF.

Daszak also notified NIAID staffers in a June 27, 2016, email that he was reliant on Wuhan Institute of Virology researcher Shi Zhengli, who has known ties with the Chinese military, to notify him if their lab-created viruses exhibited enhanced replication.

The records were obtained by the White Coat Waste Project as the result of a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit and provided exclusively to the DCNF.

The Bat Lady told us everything was jake, so.

This scoop from the Daily Caller News Foundation, based on documents obtained by White Coat Waste (who just revealed that Fauci has been funding “research” involving the torture and mutilation of puppies).

Meanwhile, Jodi Ernst has introduced the “FAUCI Act” — Fairness and Accountability in Underwriting Chinese Institutions Act” — to forbid the mad doctor, and the various mad doctors of the Gain-of-Function Deep State, from cooking up any new Omega Plagues in Communist China.

She says the bill will also help us “go after” the officials who perjured themselves and broke previous laws banning the use of US funds for these purposes:

“For years, American tax dollars were funneled into Communist China, funding dangerous experiments on coronaviruses at the Wuhan Lab, while the head of the division funding those activities, Dr. Fauci, failed to tell the truth to Congress,” Ernst said in a press release Monday.

“We need a full accounting of how and where our tax dollars are being spent–enough is enough. The FAUCI Act will put an end to U.S. funding of gain-of-function research in Communist China, go after government officials who intentionally mislead Congress, and bring about badly needed transparency and accountability.”
