I studied the cult from Sumer forward. They truly believe they are becoming gods and will not be held accountable on Judgment Day. I pondered why they would believe the Devil’s promises and deduced this: there were three promises, money, power, and evading judgment via eternal life as gods if they followed the precepts and became adepts in the Mysteries of Heaven cult. The devil can keep the first two as Prince of the air and lord of the earth as Scripture tells us (he told this to Jesus). But, the last promise, the cult members will learn too late, he cannot keep.
