President Trump’s spokesperson Liz Harrington, suggests that the Democrats were incentived to create chaos on J6.
“Let’s see what would happen if the day went smoothly. We had legitimate constitutional arguments to make. We had an electoral college process where you had a case that these electors could be sent back to the states… That’s what we were going to discuss that day. It never happened. Why did it not happen? Because people got inside the building. How did they get inside the building?”
