
George Soros funded John McCain’s Reform Institute, a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) organization while the senator was still with the organization.
Soros gave the Reform Institute $150,000 and Soros’ Open Society Institue in 2002 gave $300,000 in grants to groups defending McCain’s campaign finance law against legal challenges.
In 2001, McCain founded the Reform Institute as a vehicle to revive finding from George Soros’ open Society Institute and Teresa Heinz Kerry’s Tides Foundation and several other prominent far-left non-profit organizations that found causes such as
abortion
homosexual-rights activism
open borders
amnesty
campaign finance reform
global warming
anti-oil drilling campaigns
gun control
