Light dawns on Boston’s North Shore

A dear friend of mine walks at dawn every day along the shore in Lynn MA. She sent me a few photos she took during her walk over the past couple of days.

Gazing at them I can imagine the familiar and pungent scent of the cold Atlantic brine and hear the gulls cawing at the awakening daylight.

She writes, “I love the morning sky! I guess I always have. The morning’s always been my favorite time of day. I am still pushing myself to go and when I reach half-way I’m so relieved. Then when I get back to the car, I feel such a sense of accomplishment!!

I see this guy there and he always says hi or have a nice day, etc. Today he says, ‘Just keep on going. Look at me?’ His tee shirt was soaked with sweat. (It’s been extremely humid. ) He says ‘This is fun!’ I said, ‘Is it?’ but I know what he meant. There’s something different in the atmosphere that early in the morning.”

Indeed. I thought I’d share these with you. Those who live on Boston’s North Shore will recognize Lynn Beach and the road north leading into Swampscott. An area I remember fondly.
