Brian Cates:

“WE SHALL GO IN WITH A RAID AND SEIZE THESE CLASSIFIED DOCUMENTS TRUMP IS HOLDING AT MAR-A-LAGO”! they cried!

Only those weren’t classified documents any longer

Which meant Trump could share copies of them with whoever he wanted to

Which means right now certain people’s brains are locking up. Because stuff in those documents should’ve leaked then. Because it’s explosive stuff. But there haven’t been any leaks.

The fact there were no leaks was WHY the bad guys assumed all the documents were still classified and they engineered this seizure of them back in February to get them out of Trump’s hands.

“Thank God we got them back before anything leaked!”

They don’t understand who they are dealing with. They never have.

THESE PEOPLE DON’T LEAK REAL INFORMATION.

They only leak disinformation when it suits them, to hide what they’re up to.

💥💥💥 BOOM! 💥💥💥💥

Which means when Trump declassified these documents over 2 years ago, the documents got to the right people. And the right people who got the documents are likely using them as evidence to build cases. And while they’ve been using the documents to build cases, these people haven’t leaked SHIT ABOUT IT in over 2 years.

Which, again, is why the bad guys were thinking they were seizing still-classified documents from Trump this past February.

When they weren’t.

And they didn’t find this out until TODAY.

Somehow, during the victory lap these goons made back in February after the National Archives seized the ‘classified’ documents back from Trump, the Fake News trumpeting it all over the country that the ‘insurrectionist President’ had just been humbled and forced to cough up very sensitive highly classified documents, the fact these documents in question were no longer classified NEVER CAME UP.

When it comes to declassifying documents, the various agencies can stall and drag their feet all they like, but at the end of the day, what the President declares declassified is declassified indeed.

He can show it to whoever he wants.

He can give copies to whoever he wants.

He can use it in campaign materials if he likes.

He can leak it slow, he can dump it fast.

Trump already declassified everything. If you were paying attention when he was on Twitter, you saw him do it several times.

Apparently the left thought if they could just ignore the President of the United States long enough and the documents magically stay classified.

OOPS.

That Tweet from Trump is dated 6 October of 2020. Which means the declassified documents the National Archives seized from him at Mar-A-Lago back in February were declassified before 6 October 2020.

But because nothing leaked and nothing from the documents showed up in the press, all the goons out there convinced themselves Trump was bluffing.

But he wasn’t bluffing.

Who remembers this one?

I DO.

Documents at Mar-a-Lago Marked ‘Classified’ Were Already Declassified, Kash Patel Says

“The White House counsel failed to generate the paperwork to change the classification markings, but that doesn’t mean the information wasn’t declassified,” Patel said. “I was there with President Trump when he said ‘We are declassifying this information.’”

It’s information that Trump felt spoke to matters regarding everything from Russiagate to the Ukraine impeachment fiasco to major national security matters of great public importance — anything the president felt the American people had a right to know is in there and more.”

Documents at Mar-a-Lago Marked ‘Classified’ Were Already Declassified
By Kristina Wong • May 5, 2022
Kash Patel, a former top Trump administration official, told Breitbart News on Wednesday
that a report claiming classified materials were found at Mar-a-Lago is misleading and that
the documents were actually already declassified by then-President Donald Trump, but
the classification markings had not been updated.
“Trump declassified whole sets of materials in anticipation of leaving government that he
thought the American public should have the right to read themselves,” Patel told Breitbart
News in a phone interview.
“The White House counsel failed to generate the paperwork to change the classification
markings, but that doesn’t mean the information wasn’t declassified,” Patel said. “I was
there with President Trump when he said ‘We are declassifying this information.’”
“This story is just another disinformation campaign designed to break the public trust in a
president that lived on transparency. It’s yet another way to attack Trump and say he took
classified information when he did not,” he added.
NBC News reported in February that the National Archives and Records Administration
(NARA) found items “marked as classified national security information” within boxes sent
to Mar-a-Lago. NARA made the disclosure in a letter replying to questions from Rep.
Carolyn Maloney (D-NY).
Maloney, chair of the House Oversight Committee, had asked NARA if there was classified
information within 15 boxes that it recovered from Mar-a-Lago. NARA responded in a
February 18, 2022, letter: “NARA has identified items marked as classified national
security information within the boxes.”
Patel called the story “disinformation.”
“The story says the National Archives found the documents had classification markings on
them. That doesn’t mean that they were not declassified. All previously classified
documents have classification markings on them, it shows they used to be classified. It’s
petty bureaucracy at its finest, government simpletons not following a president’s orders
to have them marked ‘declassified.’ The president has unilateral authority to declassify
documents — anything in government. He exercised it here in full,” he said.
“[For] NBC to make a leap to say, ‘Well that means he released classified information,’ is
completely false,” Patel said. “So I think the article is entirely misleading.”
Patel said he does not believe NARA spoke to anyone at the Trump White House to see if
the documents were declassified, and now will not release the documents to the American
public as Trump had intended.
“They are not a classification authority. I don’t believe they have unilateral authority to
reclassify something the president declassified. They are the holder of records,” he said.
Patel did not want to get into what the specific documents were, predicting claims from
the left that he was disclosing “classified” material, but said, “It’s information that Trump
felt spoke to matters regarding everything from Russiagate to the Ukraine impeachment
fiasco to major national security matters of great public importance — anything the
president felt the American people had a right to know is in there and more.”
Patel said Democrats are playing politics in claiming Trump took classified material, and
have not even addressed what is in the material.
As to whether Democrats may try to selectively release material and claim Trump tried to
hide certain things, Patel said, “The irony is that he didn’t try to hide any of it. He
declassified all of it so there’s nothing to hide.”
“If they selectively leak stuff — and given this week’s Supreme Court leak, you can’t put it
past anyone at the NARA or Congress who might have some of these documents and leak
them to advance a false political narrative,” he said.
Patel served as the Pentagon chief of staff as well as principal deputy to the acting
director of national intelligence, and is a former National Security Council aide, former top
House Intelligence Committee staffer, and former federal prosecutor and public defender.
