“The Chair of the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE) announced the selection of the Honorable Robert P. Storch, the Department of Defense Inspector General (DoD IG), as the Lead Inspector General (Lead IG) for Operation Atlantic Resolve (OAR).
In that capacity, Inspector General Storch will work closely with the other Lead IG partner oversight offices—the Department of State (State) and U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) OIGs—to deliver comprehensive and effective oversight of the wider U.S. response to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The Lead IG designation will take effect on October 18, 2023.”

Interesting that this happened just before Storch’s confirmation…

As a side note I want to clarify what I think of ‘Kyle’, since this is his presentation
(do not read this if you love this guy).
The *only* positive characteristic he has is he appears to utilize critical thinking. Clearly this ability is not grounded in education.
His incessant use of “Um” is horribly distracting and reflects on his lack of communication skills.
He has *two* children and refers to the first one as “the *oldEST*” (When there are *two* of anything the first would be *oldER*, the second would be *youngER*)
He uses ‘I’ when he should use ‘me’ and vice-versa.
“Me and my wife bought two puppies.”
Removing ‘and my wife’, “Me bought two puppies.” *Cringe*
Correct: “My wife and *I* bought two puppies.”
These grammar basics aren’t difficult. Rather, they are quite simple.
I think the problem is two-fold: extremely inadequate education and laziness.
I have noticed an increasing amount of commentators and public personalities making these *exact* errors in their writings and vocalizations across the whole spectrum of the information platforms. This *is* a huge problem.
He *bought* two puppies for his *two* children when animal rescues and shelters are at capacity across the country (and likely the whole world) and record numbers are being killed. Very, very poor judgement.
I practice what I preach … I just adopted a five year old Australian Shepherd whose owner had passed away. She’s doing great.
The concept that he is an ‘influencer’ translates to many of those who are influenced by him will emulate him, consciously or not. Yes, that *is* a problem, specifically reflecting on how the education system in our nation has degraded.
Smoking expensive cigars and drinking expensive bourbons does not equate to a person of refinery and knowledge, but self-centered gluttony, especially since he likely uses the ‘donations’ he harvests from his ‘patriotic’ online activity. He’s obviously doing better financially than a huge portion of the population, including his followers. This is at a time where a massive amount of the population are having to cut back their basic purchases.
How is that different than the narcissistic politicians in the swamp?
Just to make sure it’s understood, all of the promotional breaks that are done in podcasts are compensated for, they aren’t done for free. No problem with that, our nation is based on capitalism.
What has happened to the education system for the last four decades? Has English grammar not been taught?
Communication is a critical skill. Even a misplaced comma can completely change the meaning of a message. It matters.
I almost feel alone in my criticism. Am I the only one who thinks this way?

As always, this is just my opinion, FWIW.
I met Kyle at the Badlands conference here in cocoa beach. He is one the the nicest, down to earth guys. No ego. Just the kind of person you would want as a friend. Grammar and speech tics aside, Kyle does his homework and is highly regarded among his peers. I also get fingers on chalkboard when I hear others mangle the language. But what Kyle brings to us in knowledge and information supersedes any vocabulary hiccups.
