as long as someone is getting camera footage so we can all see, and the evil gets exposed for all to see. This should be in the public, as in a public hanging….Thank you President Trump,,You are in history and will be continued in books for other generations to never forget , never give in, never stop believing in Truth and Protecting Our Country..
On Wednesday last, after the Democrats were allowed, on television camera, to steal the Georgia election, I dropped/fell into the Slough of Despond.*
After prayer gathering, I asked the pastor of the church I’ve taken inquiry class (twice) with, about my fear of the USA becoming Venezuela. What I needed was hope filled prayer, a good Psalm like 7, 37 or 46, and a hymn like A Mighty Fortress Is Our God. Instead I was told that if it took the USA turning into a Country like Venezuela for God’s church to grow, so be it. God is more interested in growing the church than in keeping the USA free. I mentioned Marxists coming into the church and murdering us all. And he said “the church grows under persecution.”
So I went home with plans to cut out the middle man (Marxists). I even drafted my farewell letter.
In the morning on Thursday, I opened Fa.ce.bo.ok and there I saw memes and posts and comments that pulled me out of the Slough.
(Luke 22:32 “but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.” ESV)
Strengthened in Faith and Hope, I set about responding to other posts with memes and the entire Psalm 37. (Which I encourage you to read.)
Needless to say I’m having second thoughts about joining this denomination. My daughter is a member in another State and told me that what I was told is not their doctrine. A non churched friend said that the pastor did not recognize my despair and probably thought he was providing comfort. ……. By telling me it was God’s plan for me to be murdered by Marxists in order for the church to grow. My friend said to mark it up to maleness.
(Members of this denomination do tend to be unemotional, in my opinion.)
(I don’t want wailing and tears, but it would be appropriate for the pastor to recognize someone who was in a form of shock and despondency and respond with an appropriate uplifting prayer.)
So, reading these posts (thank you Andrea) have put my feet firmly on the solid ground and remind me not to allow “the prince of the power of the air” (aka airwaves/media) to cause me again to stumble into the Slough of Despond.*
*Slough of Despond is a reference to John Bunyan’s “Pilgrims Progress.”
